The most common minerals in the UK’s water are calcium and magnesium, though others, such as iron, are also found in certain areas. Winterhalter’s water quality test also checks the levels of other particles such as chlorine. If the local water has a higher ratio of calcium and some iron, then the choice of chemicals, dosage and so on will be different than if there is, say, more magnesium.
