The Cider Box is planning to open its second site in Bristol at Wapping Wharf’s Cargo, the harbourside shipping container development in the city centre.
Joining The Cider Box’s existing taproom in St Philip’s, Bristol, this sister site will serve cider from leading regional and international producers to drink at one of the outside tables or to take away from the extensive bottle shop.
Taking over the unit that formerly housed Loop Massage, The Cider Box also plans to sell cider slushies when it’s sunny and hot spiced cider in the autumn and winter months.
Dan Heath, the founder of the Cider Box, said to Bristol Live: “It’s massively exciting for us as we open a second site in Bristol, bringing cider back to Wapping Wharf and opening Bristol’s only cider bottle shop.
“The shop will feature ciders from across the world, with the US, Sweden, Spain and France all featuring alongside the finest ciders from across our region.
“The cider slushies will be out of this world, made using fresh pressed cider, not from concentrate, straight out of Glastonbury and made even better with the addition of Somerset Cider Brandy liqueurs.”
It’s hoped the new site will be up and running by mid-August, subject to licensing, and will open from midday to 8pm between Wednesday and Sunday.
