Based in Shaldon, with spectacular views across the stunning Jurassic coastline, The Bucket & Spade Café at Coast View Holiday Park is celebrating winning Gold in the Best Restaurant & Best Pub categories and Silver in the Best Bar category at the Food Drink Devon Awards earlier this month.

Devon’s talented food and drink scene was alive at the 10th Food Drink Devon Awards earlier this month. Over 250 of the county’s finest food and drink producers, hospitality and catering businesses and speciality retailers celebrated in style at the esteemed awards’ ceremony, held at the Grade II listed New Continental Hotel, in Plymouth. The ceremony was hosted by wine writer, presenter and broadcaster, Oz Clarke OBE.
The Bucket & Spade Café in Devon exudes a distinct holiday ambience as soon as you walk through the door. Relax and unwind on the stunning terrace or the restaurant serving breakfast, lunch or an early dinner and gaze over the recently updated menu.
Expect popular family favourites at lunch time and in the evening with the focus on locally-sourced produce and many vegan and gluten free options available. Fresh and local fish dishes and West Country beef feature on the menu alongside light bites and healthy salads with their popular traditional Sunday lunch. A wide selection of artisan local beers, wines and spirits are available from the well-stocked bar.
Based at Coast View Holiday Park in Shaldon, the Bucket & Spade Café is open to on-site lodge owners and members of the public.
Open seven days a week, Coast View Holiday Park members can enjoy the beautifully warm indoor swimming pool or if feeling a little more active use the state-of-the-art gymnasium to work up a sweat before dining in The Bucket & Spade Cafe.
Opening hours at present are as follows; Monday and Tuesday 9.00am – 6.00pm, Wednesday to Saturday 9.00am – 9.00pm and Sunday 9.00am – 5.30pm.
