The Ring O’Bells, Compton Martin, managed by Butcombe Brewing Co, is now reopen having undergone an extensive refurbishment inside and out, including its two ensuite bedrooms. The pub is situated within easy reach of the beautiful Chew Valley, Blagdon Lake and Mendip Hills area of outstanding natural beauty and is also convenient for Bristol International Airport.
Stewart Odd, General Manager, The Ring O’Bells says: “We’re incredibly proud of the new look Ring O’Bells which we’ve brought up to date with a modern country vibe. We’ve kept the much-loved character and many original features but have updated in a sympathetically contemporary way.
“We’re still very much a country pub serving incredible food and award-winning beers. After all, our brewery is just around the corner. We’ve had some great feedback from our incredibly supportive locals and I hope they continue to enjoy the new feeling we’ve created.”
The bar and dining area has been given a complete makeover in a modern country style of greens and blue heritage shades on wooden panelled walls next to exposed stonework. Tan leather buttoned banquette seating, high stools and cosy upholstered chairs sit on a newly laid stripped wooden and tiled floor. Upcycled chalky painted furniture, greenery, eclectic artwork and contemporary wall and pendant lighting complete the look.
The two family and dog-friendly bedrooms have everything you would expect for a luxurious night’s stay… super comfy beds, country classic styling, high end bathrooms and Bramley toiletries.
Outside has been revamped with plenty of dining and drinking areas alongside a superb new play area for local children and guests to enjoy all year round.
The menu focuses on the best local produce and a ‘field-to-fork’ sustainability. Guests can expect exciting ever-changing seasonal dishes alongside hearty elevated pub classics and a great selection of award-winning Butcombe beers, ale and cider from the brewery just down the road in Wrington.
