Diners at some of the South West’s most acclaimed restaurants can help raise money for homeless and vulnerable people as part of the annual StreetSmart campaign.
At participating restaurants in November and December, a voluntary £1 donation is added to diner’s bills. At the end of each month, all the money goes to StreetSmart to help support reputable charities for the homeless. With all of StreetSmart’s operational costs paid for by sponsors, every penny goes directly to the homeless.
Restaurants including Paco Tapas, Box-E and Bulrush in Bristol are signed up this year. Carole Petitbois, restaurant manager at Bulrush told Bristol 24/7: “We are supporting StreetSmart as it provides an efficient way to raise money and awareness. More than ever, charities such as StreetSmart, will be vital to many. It is the least we can do and we are hoping that our contribution will make a difference to many others.”
Chef and restaurateur Marcus Wareing said: “StreetSmart is a fabulous charity that remembers the homeless in our city at a time of year when we should be thinking about others. More importantly, our guests agree.”
