Marshfield Farm are celebrating again!

Marshfield Farm is a brand that has a unique advantage in the ice cream industry, with complete control over the quality of their product, from the highest welfare for our cows to the sustainable practices invested across the farm and in their on-site factory. Marshfield Farm is more than just a manufacturer, it’s a family home – and that’s why their newest award means so much.

In January 2022, Marshfield Farm Ice Cream have been awarded the title “Best Ice Cream Brand” in Fine Food Digest’s Best Brand Survey. With 34 years in the industry, owners Will and Dawn Hawking are no rookies when it comes to medals and winning the title Best Brand is a recognition that all the family and staff at Marshfield Farm take on with pride.

Voted for by independent retailers, this is the first year the team at Guild of Fine Foods have opened an ice cream category in their survey. Here’s what the judges had to say:

“The inaugural winner Marshfield Farm has done well to expand its appeal outside of its native West Country in what is so often a regional category. Perhaps this is down to the options it offers. One retailer cited the producer’s mini-tub range as the big hit with customers while another even nominated its Scoop’s Ice Cream for Dogs!”

Dawn Hawking, owner at Marshfield Farm Ice Cream, says: “Winning the award Best Ice Cream Brand from The Guild Of Fine Foods is an amazing achievement for our team. We stay loyal to our roots: farming over eleven hundred acres of organic farmland, we only ever use our herd’s milk in our ice cream and we use the finest ingredients that are free from artificial flavours & colours to create our family favourite ice creams.

“With 34 years in the industry, we have always been delighted to win Great Taste Awards for our flavours. From our farmers who are milking the cows twice a day, seven days a week, keeping our herd happy, to our production and technical teams who create our award-winning flavours, this latest accolade is a testament of the hard work that our entire team has put in over the years.

“To win Best Brand by the Guild means even more to us as we develop stronger ties in the retail category. Over the years we have actively stayed out of the major multiples and have loved supporting farm shops and independent stores, and it’s down to their support that we can continue to grow and become a well-recognised brand.”

Marshfield Farm is a home, a farm and a multi award-winning ice cream manufacturer. They tend to eleven hundred acres of farmland on the Cotswold Way and every drop of milk in their ice cream can be traced back to the fields it first came from. It is then moved only metres to their on-site ice creamery, churned with the finest ingredients and then delivered across the country. For more information, visit www.marshfield-icecream.co.uk.
