The first Cornwall Street Food Festival rolls into Newquay this June Jubilee Weekend!

Street Food Warehouse are delighted to announce that on the Queen’s Jubilee Bank Holiday Weekend, the first Cornwall Street Food Festival will finally take place! Having been postponed for 2 years due to the virus that will not be named, they have got a mouth watering set of traders lined up and ready to tickle Cornwall’s taste buds! Running from 2nd June – 5th June, over 25 of the best local and national street food traders will be ready to serve the hungry residents and holiday makers of Newquay.

Situated on the idyllic Barrowfields spot, Newquay (TR7 2RZ), overlooking the crashing waves and picturesque western sunset, Cornwall Street Food Festival is the perfect place for the whole family to come and enjoy some delicious food and good vibes this Jubilee weekend.

Street Food Warehouse are the company behind the finest Street Food Festivals across the Welsh and South West coasts. From Devon to Swansea and Dorset to Aberystwyth, they have cemented their reputation hosting deliciously successful events for over 5 years and for the first time they are bringing their #summerofstreetfood tour to the sunny cliffs of Cornwall.

To keep everyone safe, the event will be ticketed, with attendees scanning a barcode at the entrance. But fear not, tickets are free!!! Anyone can order tickets for their friends and family and even get a queue jump to pass the crowds. Tickets can be found here.

Cooking up a storm from Thursday 2nd June – Sunday 5th June, the festival is running from 11.00am – 10.30pm daily. All attendees will need to do beforehand is grab their ticket and arrive hungry and ready to taste some of street food’s finest culinary dishes, from cuisines all across the planet. The world really will be your oyster – from Afghanistan to Mexico, halloumi fries to gourmet burgers, Cornwall Street Food Festival has everyone covered! Carnivores, veggies and vegans alike will all be able to share the fine feast and best Insta-worthy bites the South West has to offer! Gluten-Free? That doesn’t mean you’ve got to miss out, most traders offer options for all eaters! Sweet tooth? There’ll be enough tempting treats to make your dentist weep. How does a cheeky, chocolate brownie from Chock Shop Somerset sound? Or maybe a Biscoff Sea Salted Caramel Waffle from Nomad Waffles will do the trick?

Don’t worry, Street Food Warehouse hasn’t forgotten the need to quench everyone’s thirst. This year, the event is joined by a brand new sponsor, Freedom Brewery, who will be supplying refreshing beers, poured from ice cold taps to quench your thirst all weekend long. Serving the drinks will be Pop Up Bar Hire Co who will be fully stocked, serving everything from zesty mojitos and sparkling pink gin, to apple juice and San Pellegrino. Whatever food you choose they’re sure to have a drink to match!

This event is going cashless so don’t forget to bring your cards (or at least someone who can pay for you), otherwise you won’t be able to enjoy any of the wonderful treats on offer!

The festival has currently announced three of their top traders for 2022 who will be attending. Winner of the ‘Best Main Dish’ at the British Street Food Awards 2021, Fire and Flank with their flame thrown steaks, will be sizzling Cornwall’s taste buds. Next, Instagramer come chef @TheFatFoodie, with a healthy 45,000 followers, will be serving some of the juiciest, ooziest, mouth watering burgers this country has to offer with Meat Meets Bun. Finally, new local trader Crepe Cornwall will add a touch of elegance with their perfectly formed crepes, finished with delicious toppings and sprinkled with only the finest sugar. All three traders look set to produce some quality street food and there are many more local and national vendors that Street Food Warehouse will be announcing very soon.

Check out their socials for updates @cornwallstreetfoodfestival @streetfoodwarehouse . There will also be many competitions posted via their social media, so follow them to be in with a chance of winning some delicious treats!

Street Food Warehouse has searched high and low to bring Newquay the best variety of street food to graze on. Whether you’re a ‘stick to what you know’ type of eater or a culinary adventurer, there really is something for everyone. They can’t guarantee the weather… because this is Great Britain! But what they can guarantee is a free and family-friendly event where you can get your hands on the most vibrant and high quality street food the South West has to offer. And don’t forget dogs are welcome too!

With the struggles of the past two years, Cornwall Street Food Festival will be a sure-fire way to enjoy some long overdue foodie fun. It’s going to be a delicious weekend, one not to miss! To attend book your FREE ticket here.

Join Street Food Warehouse at Cornwall Street Food Festival for a #summerofstreetfood.
