Turning up the impact with a new campaign for Thatchers Blood Orange Cider

Supporting what’s set to be its biggest launch yet, Thatchers Cider is unveiling a new multi-media campaign on 11th April for its new Thatchers Blood Orange Cider.

A brand new advert, to be broadcast on TV, video-on-demand and cinema will be supported with high impact billboards, digital, social, in-store activation and sampling across the UK.

From April to August, the new TV ad will be seen on ITV2, ITV Hub, All 4 and Sky TV, reaching a huge 15 million impressions across the summer. In the cinema it will feature before a variety of films nationally including Top Gun: Maverick, Morbius, The Northman and The Batman. This will be complemented with social media activity to drive awareness and interaction, as well as high impact billboards in key cities across the UK.

The new Thatchers Blood Orange campaign is dramatised with on trend, energetic visual imagery and upbeat, impactful sound design, which immerses the viewer in the cider pour, while bringing the ‘orangeyness’ and intensity of this vibrant cider to life.

Driving trial direct to consumers, Thatchers is heading to over 25 events this summer, where it will be sampling its Blood Orange cider alongside other ciders in its range. Events include Camp Bestival, Goldcoast, Barcode Festival, and a host of sporting occasions.

“We’re hugely excited about this new campaign for Thatchers Blood Orange, which is our biggest cider launch yet,” says fourth generation cider maker Martin Thatcher. “The campaign will drive awareness amongst new drinkers as well as flavour connoisseurs, turning up the impact and supporting retailers and operators across the UK.”

Tapping into the biggest flavour trend for this year, Thatchers Blood Orange is the latest innovation from the family cider maker. It is available in 500ml bottle and 440ml can in the off trade, as well as being one of three exciting new flavours for the on trade available in the new Thatchers Three in One Fusion Font.

The emerging blood orange flavour is yet to make its mark in the cider category, and therefore Thatchers Blood Orange is expected to recruit a new generation audience who are already buying into the growing popularity of sophisticated orange and blood orange flavoured soft drinks, premium spirits and IPAs.

Thatchers Blood Orange, 4% ABV, is crafted with naturally sweet, juicy dessert apples, Braeburn, Fuji and Gala, selected for their sweetness, aroma and quality. Bursting with natural blood orange flavour, this is a vibrant, sparkling cider.

Thatchers Blood Orange comes with the Thatchers expertise of crafting smooth and refreshing contemporary and traditional ciders, and together with its longstanding heritage, meets the choices of today’s cider drinker through taste, quality, provenance and sustainable cider making.
