Sharp’s Brewery releases limited-edition Rock ‘A’ Berry

Rock-based Sharp’s Brewery has, this week, launched its newest limited-edition brew, Rock ‘A’ Berry, across four different Cornwall-based outlets, as well as online. This refreshing mixed-fruit pale ale was brewed by a number of the brewery’s female employees on International Women’s Day last month.

On Tuesday 8th March, 15 of Sharp’s female employees got together to brew this one off, small batch beer, as part of a wider event, the International Collaborative Brew Day, in which female brewers from across the world brewed a special beer to celebrate International Women’s Day.

Rock ‘A’ Berry is a 4.5% ABV mixed fruit pale ale with a base of extra pale malt and wheat to create a light-coloured beer with a crisp mouthfeel. The women involved in the day each brought fresh fruit to mash into the brew, which, alongside new world hops, gives this light, easy-drinking ale its distinct flavour notes of citrus, mango and berry.

Rock ‘A’ Berry is available now at The Mariners in Rock, The Brendon Arms in Bude, The Front in Falmouth and The Blisland Inn in near Bodmin.

As this is a limited-edition brew and only a relatively small amount was created, stocks are limited. However, Rock ‘A’ Berry is also available to purchase in 5L mini casks via Sharp’s Brewery’s online shop.

Sharp’s Head Brewer, Aaron McClure, said “We are delighted to release Rock ‘A’ Berry on draught and via our online shop. It is a delicious beer and feels very fitting for the changing of the seasons so don’t miss out on trying it while stocks last. It was great to be a part of the International Collaborative Brew Day, which rightly celebrated the incredible women working within our brewing industry.”

The International Women’s Day brew is available and on sale now (in mini casks from the brewery shop and at a few select outlets in Cornwall on draught). For more information or to purchase a mini cask of Rock ‘A’ Berry, please see Sharp’s Brewery’s website.
