
Much-loved Bristol Szechuan restaurant Chilli Daddy beat off eight local competitors to take the trophy for the best in the South West & Wales at the first nationwide Uber Eats awards.
The other restaurants in our region in the running were ASADO, Beerd Pizza and Craft Beer, Koocha, Low and Slow Barbeque, Sandwich Sandwich, Taka Taka, and Urban Tandoor.
Chilli Daddy was picked by a public vote by users of the food delivery app and will now go onto the final in London next month. Along with the other regional winners, they will cook for an all-star panel of judges including Prue Leith and Rachel Ama. They will be joined by Uber Eats general manager, Matthew Price, chief executive at Hospitality Action, Mark Lewis, founder at Be Inclusive Hospitality, Lorraine Copes, and TV chef, Joseph Denison Carey. The overall winner of Restaurant of the Year will receive £100,000 to invest in their business.
