The newest limited-edition beer from Sharp’s Brewery’s ‘pilot plant’ is available now. Sunset Orange, a lightly fruity golden ale with a citrus hit has been made in collaboration with the team at Paul Ainsworth’s pub, The Mariners in Rock, where the newest brew can be found alongside exceptional food.
The golden ale is already providing an exciting new brew for beer drinkers at a limited number of outlets in Cornwall and at Camp Bestival in Shropshire.
Sunset Orange is an evolution of the Sublime Sundown, a popular Sharp’s limited-edition brew made in 2019, also in collaboration with Paul Ainsworth’s team. This time, however, the recipe has been tweaked by adding new ingredients into the base of wheat, malted barley, and red rye malt to create the innovative taste.
Head brewer at Sharp’s Brewery, Aaron McClure, said “It has been great working with The Mariners’ team to evolve our previous collaboration into Sunset Orange. The pilot plant really gives us creative freedom to try out new flavours, and the 2019 brew Sublime Sundown gave us a good basis to work from to create Sunset Orange. The result has been a tasty new brew which can be enjoyed alongside food at The Mariners or on its own in mini casks from our online shop. It’s the perfect accompaniment to a Cornish summer sunset with friends. As this is another limited edition, it will only remain available while stocks last.”
