AA announces partnership with TXGB to help UK attractions reach millions of new visitors

The AA is delighted to announce a new partnership with the digital platform Tourism Exchange Great Britain (TXGB), which will expand the reach of UK visitor attractions through low-cost bookings via RatedTrips.com.

Launching today, the new partnership will allow visitor attractions from across the UK to sign up to the AA RatedTrips.com channel on TXGB, feature on RatedTrips.com’s booking pages, and reach the millions of consumers browsing the website in order to book their next holiday or day out.

TXGB, a partnership developed with VisitEngland, is a B2B digital platform that makes it easy for tourism businesses to sell their tickets through other providers and help tourists discover the variety of tourist experiences on offer across Britain. Matching tourism products and their booking systems with the broadest possible network of distribution channels, TXGB empowers its partners to reach millions of potential new visitors, through platforms including Love to Visit, Google Hotel, AirBnB, Spektrix and Ticketing Hub. On TXGB, suppliers can manage their availability, pricing, and bookings, with distributors having access to a huge range of British tourism products which they can then sell on to the consumer.

James Berzins, Managing Director at TXGB said: “We’ve been working closely with The AA since launching TXGB, so it’s great to see how they have been able to utilise our platform to create a whole new channel for consumers. This marries the heritage and trust built over many years in their accreditation brand, with book-ability that consumers need. It also creates a whole new value stream for their members and supports our mission to help businesses reach more customers.”

Thanks to this new partnership, consumers visiting AA RatedTrips.com will be able to book tickets to an incredible wealth of UK attractions, from Great British Wine Tours to Silent Disco Walking Tour; museums including Museum of Brands, British Motor Museum and Aerospace Bristol; plus family days out at Leeds Castle, Yorkshire Wildlife Park and Bailey Balloons. It is free for businesses to sign up to the AA RatedTrips.com channel on TXGB, and commission on bookings is only 5%.

Simon Numphud, Managing Director at AA Media said: “We are delighted to be partnering with TXGB to broaden the reach of UK attractions. RatedTrips.com will offer a great range of new attractions and experiences across the country, and this can only boost our popular collection of existing rated places to stay. We will be encouraging all visitor attractions that we assess on behalf of VisitEngland to join this new TXGB channel and further enhance their pages on RatedTrips.com. We hope many attractions will make the most of our channel at TXGB, reaching a whole range of new customers during and beyond the holiday season.”
