Bobbie’s Bakes started during the 1st Covid lockdown. Being a part of a small community in Combe Martin, Devon and seeing the struggles within their village, Bobbie and Ian decided to provide a food delivery service because they could see that lots of people were struggling to get out or were too frightened to because of the virus.
They put a little hut at the bottom of their road selling, at first, just eggs & bread. Their hut and products were so popular that they started adding cakes & bakes and before long they would have people lining up waiting to see what was inside that day.
You can now find Bobbie’s Bakes in their shop in Combe Martin, Devon.
Bobbie’s Bakes won a staggering 9 Taste of the West Awards in 2022 alone! Winning Gold and Champion Savoury Bakery Award for their Brisket Pies, a further 4 Gold awards and 3 Silver awards for their additional product entries, as well as a 3 Silver retail award for their shop.
Bobbie Martin commented: “All our awards from Taste of the West have really helped us to be noticed and have brought so many new faces to our tiny shop! We really rely on this because our shop is very hidden and out the way. We hope to carry on with our success and grow even more from our tiny little chicken hut.”
