The Alverton is calling on business owners across the county to join in on Friday 24th March for a charity quiz night, in aid of Cornwall Community Foundation. The quiz will be held in the historic Great Hall, with some incredible prizes to be won.
Regular quiz goers and beginners alike will be welcome for this ultimate quiz night, with all proceeds going to the partner charity. Quiz teams will have their knowledge tested through the rounds that include everything from pop culture to history and much more. Triumphant tables will have the opportunity to win prizes such as a three-course dinner at The Alverton, afternoon tea and cocktail vouchers. More prize winning opportunities will be on offer with a charity raffle running throughout the night.
The quiz is a joint venture between The Greenbank and The Alverton, as both hotels have partnered with Cornwall Community Foundation, for fundraising in 2023. Cornwall Community Foundation helps communities in Cornwall by awarding grants to grassroots, front line, volunteer-led organisations who are making a positive impact locally.
Managing Director of The Alverton and The Greenbank, Ben Young, said: “Our hotels sit in the very heart of their community, yet within a stone’s throw of each, are defined areas of poverty. These communities need the support of their local businesses in the best of times; let alone the challenging days we find ourselves in. This is a wonderful opportunity to raise some much-needed funds for our partner charity and I’m sure it will be an entertaining evening enjoyed by all.”
Tables of four can be purchased for £40. Arrival is at 6.30pm for a 6.45pm start.
