RAVE Coffee set to open new roastery, café and shop

Cirencester-based RAVE Coffee has announced its upcoming move to a new premises, following a £1,000,000 renovation project. Located on Phoenix Way, RAVE HQ will be home to an expanded production space, as well as a 1,000 sq. ft. café and shop with panoramic views of the roastery, which will open to the public from Tuesday 2nd May.

Built to accommodate the roastery’s next 10 years of growth, RAVE’s new headquarters has been created within a 10,000 sq. ft. industrial unit that had been left unoccupied and deteriorating for the past 15 years.

Over the past 5 months, local construction company Dryfesdale Construction Ltd has transformed the former Christian Brann building from a derelict property into a multifunctional space that will house RAVE’s new Loring 70kg roaster, its existing 35kg Loring roaster, all fulfilment operations and offices, while even incorporating a purpose built cupping room and coffee laboratory.

Breathing new life into a forgotten patch of the town, this state-of-the-art premises is the next step in RAVE’s mission to produce outstanding coffee for all, that is kind to the planet and everyone involved in the supply chain. Huge windows in the café will allow visitors the chance to see their coffee go all the way from green bean to cup, while an eco-friendly refill station will help customers reduce waste as they top up on the freshest coffee around.

Vikki Hodge, co-founder of RAVE Coffee, commented: “This is a big moment for RAVE and many years in the works, finally bringing product development, production, packing and fulfilment back under one roof. Having become part of the fabric of life in Cirencester over the past decade, we were delighted to find a unit on Phoenix Way that combines space and functionality with a big dose of personality. The new RAVE HQ opens up so many possibilities, including new product development, greener production and more employment opportunities, and we can’t wait to welcome more locals into our 45-cover café. It’s been an incredible journey so far and our new home feels like the perfect space for RAVE to grow and take the community along with us.”

The new RAVE HQ café and shop will open on Tuesday 2nd May. Opening hours will be Monday – Friday 8.00am – 4.00pm / Saturday – Sunday 9.00am – 2.00pm. All RAVE Coffee products are also available to purchase at ravecoffee.co.uk.

The RAVE HQ renovation project was carried out by Dryfesdale Construction Ltd, an umbrella group made up of Dryfesdale Construction, PSK Plumbing and Cotswold Electricians. Together these local businesses have worked through extreme weather conditions to complete the project on budget and exceeding timescale expectations.
