Celebrate King Charles III’s historic day in style at Sandridge Barton where the bunting will be flying, the wine will be flowing and there will be a truly special menu on offer at Circa, the venue’s restaurant, that’s fit for a King.

Traditional village fete games will add to the fun in this glorious setting of Devon’s most renowned winery, which is home to Sharpham Wine and set in the rolling hills of South Devon near Stoke Gabriel, making it a day to remember as the King of England is crowned.

The Gallery Bar area will have Coronation-themed bar snacks to accompany wine flights, with the ‘Coronation Edition Sharpham Sparkling Reserve 2015’ included in the choices. This limited edition wine has memorable brioche, butter and caramel notes that sit alongside fruit notes of green apple and is one to both savour and toast the King.
Cocktails include a special Coronation Spritz made with last year’s Cherry Vodka, Homemade Vermouth and Sharpham Coronation Cuvee.
The team at Sandridge Barton will be welcoming visitors with open arms across the weekend of the Coronation with a promise that time spent at this idyllic site during such a unique occasion will be remembered for years to come.

The Coronation-themed menu, alongside traditional village fete games will be available on May 6 and 7. On the menu is a delicious combination of Sourdough and Coronation Fried Chicken, English Asparagus, Royal Dartmouth Crab and Crab Bisque and Rack of Lamb, Smoked Anchovy, Broad Bean, Fermented Mint and Fried Potatoes, Wild Garlic Emulsion, Somerset Cheese Curds and Crispy Capers and Strawberry, Coronation Fizz and Wild Fennel Trifle. Booking is advised for Circa at Sandridge Barton and can be made at Sandridge Barton Circa Restaurant and costs apply.
Enjoy wine tours and tastings throughout the Coronation weekend, from casual self-guided options to in-depth guided tastings where you’ll learn about the processes used in the vineyard and winery. Bookings can be made online at sandridgebarton.com.
