The beautiful village of Ebrington in the heart of the Cotswolds is home to Pete and Amanda and their family farm which provides most of the mouth-watering vegetables on offer in this wonderful farm shop.
Opened in 2017, Vegetable Matters has established itself as an environmentally friendly hotspot with local produce filling the shelves, no plastic packaging to be seen and food miles at a minimum. Fresh and seasonal are the words most applied to this farm shop.
As well as the tempting vegetables, the shelves are filled with fresh bread and milk, pickles, jams, honey, chutney, eggs and oils. There is a trusted butcher next door and a weekly visit from The Fresh Fish Man which makes this farm shop a true one-stop shopping experience – even an ice cream van visits during the warmer months.
And if filling your shopping basket leads you to feel peckish, then pop into the neighbouring Vegetable Matters café where an extensive menu awaits. Dishes are cooked using the freshest of ingredients and range from cake and coffees to full English breakfasts, freshly made sandwiches and home-cooked mains. There’s even a covered terrace where you can eat in the warmer weather and drink in the stunning Cotswold scenery.
Vegetable Matters is open from Tuesday to Saturday. Find out more at their website and follow them on Facebook and Instagram
