Butcombe Brewing Co’s Ashton Press Cider is officially one of the most popular ciders in the country, having broken into the UK’s Top 10 on-trade cider manufacturers according to a report published by CGA. This entry follows hot on the heels of Butcombe’s Original beer which made the Top 10 on-trade cask ales list in December.
Jonathan Lawson, CEO, Liberation Group says: “Everyone knows us well for our excellent beers so we’re delighted that our Ashton Press cider has also been recognised as one of the most popular ciders in the country, ranking alongside Butcombe Original which made the Top 10 cask ales list last year. Ashton Press has long been a favourite in the South West amongst cider lovers, but it’s encouraging to see that it’s now expanding its reach and popularity across the UK. With summer well and truly here that popularity is only going to increase.”
The report publisher, CGA, works with food and drink suppliers, hospitality operators, trade bodies and financial institutions, providing market measurement and unique expertise across all parts of the on-premise route to market.
Ashton Press now ranks alongside stalwarts of the cider world such as Thatchers, Kopparberg and Westons as one of the most enjoyed ciders bought in pubs across the UK.
