Building on the success of last year’s event, Wickhams is delighted to be presenting its English Wine Extravaganza, an exciting occasion showcasing the very best of English wine. Taking place on Saturday 24th June from 12-6pm at the Mercure Rougemont Hotel in Exeter, the event promises to be an unforgettable celebration of England’s thriving wine industry.
“We are thrilled to be hosting the English Wine Extravaganza and we can’t wait to share our passion for English wine with visitors,” comments Wickhams’ founder, Dan Farrell-Wright. “This is a fantastic opportunity for people to discover some of the incredible wines that are being produced right here in England. Visitors can look forward to meeting many of the country’s most renowned wine producers, who will be showcasing their finest vintages for guests to sample.”
Throughout the day, wineries, vineyards and estates will be exhibiting a broad range of red, white, rosé, orange and sparkling wines including South West based Sandridge Barton – the home of Sharpham Wine, Lyme Bay Winery, Calancombe Estate, Knightor Winery, Langham Wine Estate and Huxbear, as well as others from as far afield as Kent, Hampshire and Sussex.
In addition to wine tastings, the English Wine Extravaganza will offer a variety of masterclasses hosted by experts including renowned wine writer Susy Atkins (telegraph.co.uk and delicious. magazine), Lucy Hulland (owner of Huxbear Estate), Janina Doyle (wine educator and host of Eat, Sleep, Wine, Repeat) and Pip Vanham AIWS DipWSET. These workshops provide an exceptional chance to gain insights from renowned experts in the field of English wine through a delightful blend of entertainment and education.
