South Devon-based vineyard Sandridge Barton, the home of Sharpham Wine, has once again demonstrated its excellence in winemaking by securing three coveted trophies at the nationally recognised WineGB Awards 2023, solidifying its position as a leading English wine producer.
Sandridge Barton’s remarkable achievements were recognised at the WineGB Awards 2023, also known as the Wines of Great Britain Awards, where it triumphed in multiple categories. The winery proudly received Trophies for Best Red Wine in the UK, Best Still Wine in the UK and Best Regional Wine.
The Best Red Wine Trophy was awarded to Sandridge Barton for its exceptional Pinot Noir 2020. This outstanding wine also won the Best Still Wine Trophy, an accolade it shared with Gusbourne, and the Trophy for Best Regional Wine from the West of England.

The Regional Trophy, highlighting the scope of styles and size of producers achieving notable wins, is awarded to the highest scoring wine in each region of the UK. Sandridge Barton’s accomplishment in this category showcases its commitment to the unique terroir of the Dart Valley and acknowledges the success of growing Pinot Noir grapes in the region.
These recent trophy wins follow Sandridge Barton securing an impressive seven medals in the WineGB Awards 2023, including a Gold medal for the Sandridge Barton Pinot Noir 2020, four silvers and two bronze medals.
