Mr Filbert’s B-Corp-Certified sustainability goal

We at Mr Filbert’s share the global concern regarding climate change and its impact upon our planet, so it is important to us that, as a leading South West business, we do our bit to reduce global warming. In this respect, in 2021 we decided as a business to make changes to the way we operated, and subsequently found out more about the ethos and good of becoming a B-Corp member.

As we speak, were are building a procurement and manufacturing operation to reduce the carbon in every snack we make, and we are also aiming to become carbon neutral within the next 3 years.

We have set up a sustainable packaging taskforce to effect our transition to 100% reuseable, recyclable or compostable packaging by the end of 2025. Our business is also comitted to responsible sourcing, and on this front we have recently contracted for 100% of the electricity we use to come from renewable sources.

When we decided to become a force for good and strive to minimise the impact our activities have upon the environment we live in through sustainable development, we realised quickly that this would help us make products of an even higher quality, sought after by our customers.

We are now fully on the road to becoming a fully fledged B-Corp company before the end of this year, and in doing so, we will join a global community of businesses proven to meet high environmental and social accountability standards.
