Bays Brewery spreads some festive cheer with its latest charity brew

The team at Bays Brewery in Paignton are kickstarting the season of goodwill in big-hearted style with its latest charity brew Jingle Ale, raising funds for Torbay Holiday Helpers Network (THHN).

Available now in bottles and cask, the ho-ho hoppy bitter is deep amber in colour with a subtle sweetness throughout, perfect for those looking to raise a toast to a great cause this Christmas.

5% of all proceeds from the charity ale go to THHN – a top Torbay charity that provides free memory-making holidays to families who have seriously ill children or are recently bereaved. Jingle Ale is the fourth and final charity brew from the family-run brewery in 2023, with the latest local tipple hoping to spread some Christmas cheer among those who need it most.

Director of Bays Brewery, Peter Salmon, said: “Being a local, family-run brewery, we’re always looking at how we can give something back to our community and Jingle Ale is a great way to celebrate what Christmas is all about – showing our appreciation to others. We’re thrilled to be working with the Torbay Holidays Helpers Network – a great local charity that gives families something positive to focus during an unimaginably tough time, by allowing them to make unforgettable memories that they’ll treasure forever.”

Beer lovers can quench their thirst with a pint of Jingle Ale at many pubs, bars and restaurants across Torbay, with the charity ale available now until 25 December 2023.

Martin Brook, Director of Torbay Holiday Helpers Network, said: “It’s always memorable drinking a pint of Bays, but with them kindly sponsoring THHN with their Jingle Ale, extra memories will be triggered. We will be able to provide memory-making respite holidays to more families who face some of the most traumatic situations imaginable; whether a child is suffering a serious or life-limiting illness or has died, or a parent is terminally ill or died far too young. So, thank you Bays and cheers to Jingle Ale – a fabulous Christmas present for THHN.”

Jingle Ale follows hot on the heels of Beery Head, proceeds for which went to Torbay Coast & Countryside Trust (TCCT), with its 2023 charity brew line-up also including Wild 100 and Hops Nose. The Paignton-based brewery will once again be showing its support to some top local charities with the launch of four brand new charity brews in 2024 – so watch this space!
