BANK links up with Caring in Bristol to serve Christmas dinners that go one further

Following the launch of its wood fired Christmas menu, BANK Bristol has announced that it will be partnering with Caring in Bristol during December, with every booking at the restaurant this month helping to support people experiencing homelessness in the city.

Getting behind the charity’s Caring at Christmas Project, BANK will donate one meal towards Bristol’s Big Christmas Dinner for every table that’s booked over the festive period, funding Christmas dinners for some of the most vulnerable members of the local community. The neighbourhood restaurant will additionally donate £1 to The MAZI Project for every ‘All the Small Plates’ order that’s put in during December, meaning festive dining in Totterdown can also support initiatives that empower marginalised 16-25 year olds through food.

The Christmas period sees head chef, Jack Briggs-Horan bringing his eclectic fire cooking influences to bear on the celebrations, from the seasonal a la carte menu through to a 5-course Christmas set menu for larger bookings. Winter dishes include Barbary Duck with Blackberry Sofrito, Pine Nut & Smoked Beetroot, Roast Jerusalem Artichokes with Smoked Chickpea, Harissa & Sunflower Seed Tahini, and Spiced Quince Crumble with Smoked Ginger Sorbet, Oat Custard & Russian Caravan Prunes.

Dan O’Regan, founder of BANK, commented: “December is such an exciting time for our diners and us as a restaurant, so we wanted to make sure that some of this good feeling was passed onto those facing a tougher time this Christmas. Thanks to the incredible work of charities like Caring in Bristol, we’re able to channel funds towards initiatives that make a real difference to those facing homelessness in Bristol right now. We’re delighted to be contributing to Bristol’s Big Christmas Dinner this year, and wish the charity’s network of supporters and volunteers all the best as they mobilise to undertake the biggest Christmas homelessness project in the Southwest.”

BANK in Bristol is open from 17:00 – 22:00 on Wednesdays and Thursdays, from 12:00 – 22:00 on Fridays and Saturdays, and from 12:00 – 17:00 on Sundays. Alongside its a la carte menu, BANK also offers a set menu of two or three courses before 6pm from Wednesday to Friday. Diners can book via www.bankbristol.com.
