Simon Beale, founder of the Coastal Spring water brand that supports lifeboat volunteers, was delighted to be asked to supply water for a recent Padstow Food Festival which attracts over 10,000 people annually.
The festival has now been running for 14 years and is organised by Andrew Stephens and Tina Evans, who have seen the event grow from a few stands in a local church to a major event which still continues to grow every year.
Since the launch of Coastal Spring, which is bottled on Bodmin Moor by the Cornish Spring Water company who Simon is in partnership with, over £170,000 has been raised from bottle sales for lifeboat volunteers across the UK.
The spring water brand shows visuals of various Independent lifeboats on their bottles, together with details of The National Independent Lifeboat Association. They work with over 50 independent lifeboat stations that receive no funding from the RNLI or government, and are totally reliant on donations from the general public and fund-raising events.
