Plymouth Street Food Festival is back for four days of foodie paradise!

Street Food Warehouse are thrilled to announce that Plymouth Street Food Festival will be making a triumphant return to Central Park (PL2 3DG) over the early May Bank Holiday. From Friday 3rd – Monday 6th May they will be bringing you four days of great food, entertainment and family fun! Up to 30 top street food traders will serve cuisines from across the world in the centre of Plymouth offering a delectable array of dishes for you to enjoy.

This year the festival will be even bigger, better and tastier with more traders, market stalls and fun for all ages! They will also be introducing some fun new additions to the entertainment scene to jazz up the weekend vibes, more to be announced soon. So make sure to bring your dancing shoes as well as your appetite!

Street Food Warehouse are the team behind some of the finest street food festivals across the South West and Welsh coasts. From Devon to Swansea and Plymouth to Aberystwyth, they have cemented their reputation by hosting successful events for over 7 years. Now, they are bringing their #SummerOfStreetFood tour back to the beautiful South Coast for 4 days of foodie heaven!

Here’s what they had to say about the festival: “After the huge success of Plymouth Street Food Festival last year, we are so excited to be back with a bigger festival and more delicious food! Vendors apply from across the UK to trade at our events allowing us to share new and exciting cuisines and provide a platform for up-and-coming talents on the food scene. The people of Plymouth proved they have a huge appetite for high-quality food and we’re happy to return for another 4 days of fun. This year we’re ramping things up with more top-class traders, extended bars and a bigger commitment to sustainability than ever before. We’re also excited to offer a new selection of evening entertainment so you can enjoy some fantastic food alongside live music and a few surprises! Plymouth Street Food Festival is the perfect place to spend your weekend with friends and family enjoying delicious food and good vibes all around. Get ready for full bellies and great memories!”

The unique thing about Plymouth Street Food Festival is that no two traders offer the same cuisine. This allows traders to showcase their individuality whilst treating customers to a wider range of dishes from near and far. You could feast on anything from Indian to Vietnamese, Thai to Moroccan, Mexican to Afghan, Caribbean to Uzbek, with food to suit every dietary requirement and plenty to satisfy your sweet tooth! You might recognise a few friendly faces of the traders from previous festivals as well as a bunch of new and exciting ones too.

Street Food Warehouse have dropped a little teaser of a couple of the amazing street food traders they have lined up. The fans will be delighted to know that Plymouth-born ‘Barbican Bao‘ will be joining the line-up of tasty traders with their impossibly soft Japanese buns. Pick from a flavour fusion of fillings and perfectly paired toppings which will have you coming back for more. We’ve got our eyes on their Katsu Chicken Bao! Keeping it local, Devon-based trader ‘Little Marakesh’ by Street Food South West will also be joining the festival for another year showcasing their delicious Moroccan cuisine. Expect shawarma wraps and tagine bowls to die for! For all the dessert lovers, this one’s for you, ‘Nomad Waffles’ are back and better than ever, serving heavenly hand-crafted, saucy stick waffles. Choose one of the irresistible toppings on offer. We love the Malteser waffle, smothered in gooey chocolate sauce, a caramel drizzle and covered in crushed Maltesers – worth saving space for! The best bit is, that this is only a teaser of what’s to come and there are plenty more incredible traders from across the UK to announce. Check out their socials to keep up with all updates @plymouthstreetfoodfestival @streetfoodwarehouse.

Street Food Warehouse prides itself on a continued commitment to sustainability. So this year, to help reduce single-use plastic every adult ticket purchase includes a reusable cup. Tickets for Plymouth Street Food Festival are £2 per adult including your reusable cup which can be redeemed for free entry all weekend. Tickets can be found at www.plymouthstreetfoodfestival.co.uk. Kids always go FREE! Add-ons are also available for table reservations.
