Rock-based Sharp’s Brewing Co has announced the national ‘off-trade’ launch of its popular surf-inspired Offshore Pilsner, meaning it will be available in both six- and ten-can multipacks in shops and supermarkets across the country from the end of April. Offshore is the best-selling ‘discovery’ lager in the South-West of the UK* and this move marks an exciting expansion of the Offshore brand beyond its availability in pubs, bars and restaurants across the UK.
Sharp’s Offshore Pilsner is inspired by Cornwall’s passion for surfing and those rare moments when the wind turns offshore, creating perfectly clean waves. Its launch into retail outlets and supermarkets now provides beer lovers with greater accessibility to experience its tropical fruit and herbal lemon aromas, its clean, crisp taste and brisk finish.
Since launching in 2018, the refreshing brew has become a favourite with beer drinkers across the UK and has risen to become the best-selling discovery lager – defined as smaller, unique premium lager brands – in the South-West of the UK**.
This anticipated launch comes in Sharp’s Brewing Co’s 30th anniversary year as the team celebrates three decades of pioneering the art of brewing on the Cornish coast. Since the brewery was founded in 1994, it has become the largest brewer of cask beer in the South West and boasts a range of multi-award-winning beers, including Doom Bar – the UK’s number one amber ale***.

A testament to the quality of its products, Sharp’s now has a tally of over 150 international brewing awards, including the Country Winner accolade for Camel Valley Pilsner at the 2023 World Beer Awards, plus silver medals for Offshore Pilsner, Doom Bar, Atlantic Pale Ale, Twin Coast and Doom Bar Zero. Camel Valley Pilsner, Doom Bar Zero, Atlantic Pale Ale, Offshore Pilsner and Chalky’s Bite also picked up medals at the International Brewing Challenge 2023.
