Cornwall Street Food Festival is back and bigger than ever in Newquay the late May bank holiday!

Street Food Warehouse are thrilled to announce that Cornwall Street Food Festival will be making a triumphant return to the beautiful Barrowfields in Newquay, (TR7 2RZ) over the late May Bank Holiday. From Friday 24th – Monday 27th May they will be bringing you four days of great food, entertainment and family fun! Over 25 top street food traders will serve cuisines from across the world in the centre of Newquay offering a delectable array of dishes for you to enjoy.

This year the festival will be even bigger, better and tastier with more traders, market stalls and fun for all ages! They will also be introducing some fun new additions to the entertainment scene to jazz up the weekend vibes, more to be announced soon. So make sure to bring your dancing shoes as well as your appetite!

Street Food Warehouse are the team behind some of the finest street food festivals across the Welsh and South West coasts. From Devon to Swansea and Plymouth to Aberystwyth, they have cemented their reputation by hosting successful events for over 7 years. Now, they are bringing their #SummerOfStreetFood tour back to the beautiful coast of Cornwall for 4 days of foodie heaven!

Here’s what they had to say about the festival: “Cornwall Street Food Festival has gone from strength to strength in the last two years and we are so excited to return with a bigger festival and more delicious food! Sharing some of the best street food from across the UK with locals and holidaymakers in such a stunning setting is a treat. Who wouldn’t want to grab a bite to eat, sip a cold beer and watch the sun go down overlooking the beach with their friends? The festival is a fantastic opportunity for visitors to sample new and exciting cuisines, tuck into their old favourites and help us provide a platform for up-and-coming talents on the food scene. The people of Cornwall proved they have a huge appetite for high-quality food and we’re happy to return for another 4 days of fun. This year we’re ramping things up with more top-class traders, extended bars and a bigger commitment to sustainability than ever before. We’re also excited to offer a new selection of live entertainment so you can enjoy some fantastic food alongside live music and a few surprises! Cornwall Street Food Festival is the perfect place to spend your weekend with friends and family enjoying delicious food and good vibes all around. Get ready for full bellies and great memories!”

The unique thing about Cornwall Street Food Festival is that no two traders offer the same cuisine. This allows traders to showcase their individuality whilst treating customers to a wider range of dishes from near and far. You could feast on anything from Indian to Vietnamese, Thai to Moroccan, Mexican to Afghan, Caribbean to Uzbek, with food to suit every dietary requirement and plenty to satisfy your sweet tooth! You might recognise a few friendly faces of the traders from previous festivals as well as a bunch of new and exciting ones too.

Street Food Warehouse have dropped a little teaser of a couple of the traders they have lined up, including some fantastic South-West-based talent! Fans will be delighted to know that the beloved ‘Two Lads Kitchen’ are back, cooking up their traditional Afghan wraps full of unique flavours and spices all wrapped in fresh naan. We’ve been reliably informed their secret green sauce is the talk of the festival. Keeping it local, South West-based trader ‘Wok n Roll’ will also join the line-up showcasing their delicious Vietnamese cuisine. Try one of their famous Banh Mi, with a choice of delicious hoisin pork belly, lemongrass chicken or saucy tofu, all nestled in a bun with pickled carrot, radish, kewpie mayo and Sichuan chilli oil. The perfect grab-and-go sandwich with a spicy twist. For all the dessert lovers, this one’s for you, Falmouth-born ‘Fresh Crepes‘ are here to satisfy your sweet tooth with their flipping delicious fresh-to-order crepes! Traditionalists can get their fix with a dusting of sugar and lemon, or why not try their white chocolate and raspberry cheesecake? Worth saving space for! The best bit is, that this is only a teaser of what’s to come and there are plenty more incredible traders from across the UK to announce.

Don’t worry, they haven’t forgotten the need to quench everyone’s thirst! This summer the event is sponsored by award-winning brewery, Lost and Grounded. We’re envisioning a sunny day overlooking the beach, live music paired with a delicious street food dish, washed down with a crisp pint of their Helles lager, awarded Beer of the Year in 2022! The festival is family-friendly at heart, welcoming all under-18s and well-behaved dogs for free!

Street Food Warehouse prides itself on a continued commitment to sustainability, which is why every adult ticket purchase includes a reusable cup to help reduce single-use plastic. You can use this cup throughout your visit and take a piece of the festival home with you to help support their eco-friendly mission.

Adult tickets for Cornwall Street Food Festival include a reusable cup which can be redeemed for free entry all weekend after your first visit plus, kids go FREE! Tickets can be found at www.cornwallstreetfoodfestival.co.uk . Add-ons are also available for table reservations.

Residents of Cornwall and beyond, get ready to feast upon some of the top street food that the UK has to offer. It will be a great food-fuelled weekend, packed with refreshing drinks, entertainment and fun for all the family. Dive into a culinary adventure and get your hands on the most vibrant and high-quality street food from around the world all in the heart of Newquay. It’s going to be a Bank Holiday weekend to remember! Join Street Food Warehouse for the start of their #SummerOfStreetFood2024.
