Work is well underway transforming the former Pitcher & Piano on Bristol’s Harbourside into Loungers’ largest café/bar to date. Ritorno Lounge is set to throw open its doors on Wednesday 17th July 2024.

The interior has been completely stripped back and the build team has been busy transforming the space in typical Loungers eclectic fashion. Highlights include a 10.5-metre-long feature bar, stained glass windows depicting scenes of historical Bristol, a huge back bar mural paying homage to Lounges across the UK and celebrating the return of the company to the city of its roots and a DJ area.
Ritorno Lounge will be open all day, every day for breakfast, brunch, lunch, dinner and drinks, including full kids’, gluten-free and vegan menus, served in a relaxed, welcoming space. A real home from home, Ritorno Lounge will cater for all tastes throughout the day with a varied and innovative all-day menu. Particular attention will be paid to families with a selection of games, books, colouring pencils and pads on offer. A full menu, high chairs and baby-changing facilities are also available for Little Loungers.

Gemma Irwin, Head of Community at Loungers, says: “We’re really excited to be bringing Ritorno Lounge to the heart of our home city. There’s something very special about Bristol’s iconic Harbourside and to be opening such a large Lounge there is an incredible opportunity.”
With community and neighbourhood at its heart, Ritorno Lounge will welcome locals looking for a space for regular catch ups, meetings, events and celebrations – everything from business networking, book or knitting clubs to parent and baby meets. A private dining room, complete with bar, will be available for private hire.
Gemma Irwin continues: “We’re well known for our community focus so we’re excited to get stuck in supporting good causes locally and making a genuine difference in Bristol – the city we call home. Anyone looking for a space to host get-togethers, groups or community events should pop in once we’re open, we’d love to hear from them and see what we can do to help.”
