Cotswold private hire catering gets a Michelin makeover

Phil Howard, of Elystan Street restaurant in Chelsea, and Mark Kempson, of Kitchen W8 in Kensington, have joined the new Cotswold-based catering company – Cygnet Catering. Both chefs boast Michelin stars and various accolades. Mark, who was recently awarded Best Game Chef by Eat Game UK, is available for hire or can assist with menu choices for the dedicated team at Cygnet Catering, whether for corporate occasions, private parties, or family events.

Mark Kempson expressed his enthusiasm for the opportunity: “I am delighted to be part of the Cygnet Catering team. Bringing Michelin Star food to the Cotswolds for all your events, large or small, we offer a bespoke and personal service tailored to your needs. I truly believe this will make your experience extra special.”

Cygnet Catering is the brainchild of Steve Cook, the landlord of The Swan Inn. The Swan has been awarded Dining Pub of the Year by The Good Pub Guide for two consecutive years and holds two prestigious AA Rosettes. Steve recently acquired the lease for The Golden Cross Inn in Cirencester, Gloucestershire. Steve has previously worked with chef Philip Howard and hosted dining evenings at The Swan, the famous countryside pub.

Steve explained: “I am ecstatic to finally and officially offer Cygnet catering to the Cotswolds. The idea emerged after working with Phil when he was the special guest chef for a sold-out evening at The Swan. The positive feedback encouraged me to explore this collaboration further.”

Phil Howard shared his excitement: “Having the opportunity to offer wonderful and seasonal menus using stunning local produce in one of the most beautiful areas in the country feels like a privilege. As a chef who has been confined to London for his entire career, this venture is truly special.”

With two industry titans at the helm, Cygnet Catering aims to provide unique, high-quality, and affordable services. Since launching the website, they have received significant interest, particularly for weddings and private dining parties. Mark’s recent recognition as the best game chef in the country has led to numerous inquiries from potential shoot parties. Whether for 10 or 250 guests, Cygnet Catering offers bespoke menus to ensure each event is tailored to individual preferences and budgets.

For more information, visit Cygnet Catering’s website, email them at info@cygnetcatering.net, or call 07500154702.
