The Royal Academy of Culinary Arts (RACA) is delighted to appoint Eat PR & Marketing, a specialist foodservice and hospitality agency as its chosen PR, marketing and communications partner from September 2024.
RACA, Britain’s leading professional membership association for head chefs, head pastry chefs, restaurant managers and industry associate suppliers, was founded in 1980 as part of the internationally renowned Académie Culinaire de France. With His Majesty King Charles III as its patron, RACA represents the pinnacle of kitchen, pastry and service, championing training and education to support the future of the hospitality industry. Recognising and rewarding talent, RACA’s ethos is to help raise standards in both cooking and service, drive awareness of food provenance, and connect like-minded people throughout the profession.
Following internal reviews and analysis, RACA trustees and committee members approved a plan for an external partner who would deliver a comprehensive ongoing communications campaign. Appointing Eat PR & Marketing from September 2024, RACA has created a partnership with an agency known for its expertise, knowledge and connections across the hospitality sector.
Founded in 2021, Eat PR & Marketing has quickly established itself as a prominent foodservice agency, working with leading manufacturers, producers and suppliers to the industry on a national and international level.

On appointing Eat PR & Marketing, Lisa Jenkins, Chief Executive Officer at The Royal Academy of Culinary Arts comments: “The Royal Academy of Culinary Arts has led the hospitality profession by example for nearly 45 years. During this time hundreds of top chefs, pastry chefs and service personnel have been recognised by RACA’s educational programmes, Accredited Apprenticeship training, the Annual Awards of Excellence and the Master of Culinary Arts. Following several significant changes within the academy over the past two years, it was felt that now would be a good time to partner with a specialist PR agency – one that could deliver an effective campaign which recognises our history and heritage, while taking into consideration the future of RACA. As such, we’re delighted to appoint Eat PR & Marketing from September 2024. With undisputed knowledge, experience and connections across the profession, we look forward to working collaboratively with Eat PR & Marketing and our stakeholders to help achieve our goals and growth going forward.”
In a period of significant change for the prestigious institution, the appointment comes at a key time for the academy. Earlier this year Adam Byatt, chef patron of the Michelin-starred Trinity restaurant in London, was named as RACA Chairman, succeeding John Williams MBE, who after 20 years, assumes the role of President, a role held by Brian Turner, who himself becomes Honorary President.
Adding to Lisa’s comments, Adam Byatt, Chairman of The Royal Academy of Culinary Arts said: “For over four decades, the Royal Academy of Culinary Arts has inspired, educated, mentored and supported some of the industry’s most renowned chefs and restaurant managers. In what’s already been a significant year in RACA’s history, the academy is embracing the future by engaging and nurturing the leaders of tomorrow, continuing to support today’s leaders and simultaneously recognising our impressive heritage. In Eat PR & Marketing, I believe we have a partner that not only shares our values and ethos but also understands our unique needs, ultimately, helping us to deliver a communications campaign that will support the academy as we look to the future.”
Eat PR & Marketing’s appointment from September 2024 will see the specialist agency support Lisa, Adam and the RACA team to raise awareness of events, awards and training programmes, social media content creation and ongoing internal and external communications.
