Blazing new beer from Powderkeg

As the leaves begin to turn, Powderkeg Brewery has introduced their latest creation, a special limited edition autumn beer available in 330ml cans. This new offering is a robust Red IPA with a 5.0% ABV, featuring a solid foundation of Red X malt and vibrant citrus notes from El Dorado, Citra, and Centennial hops.

Named Trail Blazer, this beer is an exploration of bold flavours, striking a delicate balance between bitterness and sweetness. True to Powderkeg’s commitment to inclusivity, Trail Blazer is both gluten-free and vegan, ensuring it can be enjoyed by a wide audience.

Head brewer John Magill shared his vision for the new IPA: “We wanted to take the IPA in a different direction by using Red X for a strong malt foundation with rich berry notes, topped with citrus peaks from the US hopping. We think it’s the perfect beer for cooler temperatures, offering that body and balanced bitterness.”

Trail Blazer is now available for purchase directly from the Powderkeg website, as well as at select local farm shops and wine shops across Devon.

As Devon’s original craft brewery, Powderkeg has been redefining classic beer styles with their unique twist since their inception on November 5th, 2014. As they approach their 10th anniversary, Powderkeg continues to innovate and delight beer enthusiasts with their creative brews.
