Inoshishi Izakaya in Frome, Somerset has introduced regular creative sessions at the restaurant, inviting its team and their friends to come together every other Monday and explore a range of artistic mediums. Beginning with a series of dry clay sculpture events, the creative sessions are designed to provide a positive space for the team channel their creativity, build working relationships and decompress after the intensity of service.
Rupert Toms, co-founder of Inoshishi Izakaya, which is part of The Prickly Pear Group, explains: “Chemistry, communication and creativity are integral to delivering an unforgettable dining experience, and we’re always looking for ways to make sure our team feel valued for their hard work and dedication. We are bursting with creativity, so these dry clay sculpture sessions have given us all some much-needed downtime, while helping us bond and be motivated to continue showing up for each other.”
The launch of Inoshishi’s creative sessions comes after a period of intense innovation and development at the restaurant, which saw the launch of its new menu in July and a takeaway service last month; both offering a collection of bold, unique and powerful Japanese-inspired dishes, showcasing local and seasonal produce.
Inoshishi is open for lunch from 12pm – 3pm and dinner from 5:30pm – 9pm, Wednesday to Saturday each week.
