Spreading tasty Christmas cheer while supporting the local community

As plans start to ramp up for the festive season, thoughts quickly turn to presents. However, a new partnership recently announced between Taste of the West and Children’s Hospice South West (CHSW) hopes to solve gifting conundrums for your team, customers, or clients, in just a few clicks.

A range of artisan charity Christmas hampers, stocked full of award-winning local produce, is on sale now. For each hamper sold, 10% will be donated to the local children’s charity CHSW. The selection of hampers can be fully personalised with your company’s logo, making them a unique and memorable way to show your appreciation for their support this year.

Taste of the West has worked closely with hamper stockists Devon Hampers to bring together food and drink selections from more than 25 of the finest Taste of the West producers in the region to feature in this unique collection of four festive hampers.

The hampers, priced between £50 and £125, are named after the three CHSW hospices, with the fourth and most luxurious option being the ‘Festive Feast’ hamper. They’re stocked full of award-winning sweet and savoury treats including cheeses, biscuits, olives, charcuterie, and chocolates, as well as a variety of drink options to suit all tastes and preferences. All of which can be delivered directly to the doorsteps of those lucky recipients you want to treat this Christmas.

Hayley Wallbank, Regional Partnerships Fundraiser for CHSW, said: “If you’re a business that usually sends gifts to your staff, customers or clients, these hampers benefit so many; those receiving them, the children and families we support, and the local producers of the products inside – it’s a win-win! Stock is limited so please act quickly if you’re interested.”

John Sheaves, CEO of Taste of the West, said: “We are honoured to launch this exciting initiative with Children’s Hospice South West in time for the festive season. It’s a fantastic offer and a great opportunity to purchase a quality gift for your organisation filled to the brim with award-winning food and drink made in the South West. Coupling quality, regional produce with benefits going to such a great cause – Children’s Hospice South West and the families they support – it’s the perfect combination.”

Whether you are a business wanting to purchase a number of hampers for staff, customers or associates, or an individual wanting to purchase for a loved one, orders can be made now through Taste of the West’s online store to ensure you don’t miss out. Deliveries will start on 18 November.

This festive season, CHSW will continue to support more than 500 children and young people with life-limiting conditions and their families, by providing hospice, palliative and end-of-life care as well as ongoing bereavement support. Its three hospices in Devon, Somerset, and Cornwall provide expert care and support for families when they need it most.

Taste of the West now has over 1,000 members, and champions food and drink producers in the West Country, as well as the places that serve and sell them.
