New bespoke gourmet edible art collection launches

Fiona Weston, Founder of The Cotswold Platter Company, has become famous for her incredible talent creating jaw dropping, mouth-watering grazing platters and tables since launching four years ago – a remarkable success story of survival in the face of adversity post-pandemic. Her clients today include A-List celebrities and royalty, and she is asked to cater for events of all sizes and occasions.

Winners of the raffle with Fiona in the middle

Fiona recently launched her newest collection, ‘Bespoke Edible Art’, at the Cotswold Contemporary Art Gallery in Cirencester to press and VIP guests, the perfect backdrop to showcase her exceptional artistic talent. Displayed on podiums throughout the gallery, sitting comfortably amongst works by Picasso and Lowry, were six different platters, specially created by Fiona for the event to illustrate the seemingly endless breadth and possibility of her food art commissions.

Guests were completely in awe of the works of food art on display and the creativity Fiona has. “It is a dramatic and impressive new way of entertaining,” said one guest. Another commented: “At last, gone are the days of predictable celebration cakes to mark and occasion – this is the future!”

On the night of the launch event Fiona, a passionate dog lover known locally for owning two magnificent Golden Retrievers, raffled off each of the eight designer platters in aid of Cotswolds based ‘Starfish Dog Rescue‘ charity and raised £265.00.

Founder of the charity, Gillian Minnican, was thrilled, saying: “This is fantastic, thank you so much Fiona! This will pay for one dog’s neutering and vaccinations.” Cotswold Contemporary also very generously gave each raffle prize winner a £200 gift voucher to spend in the gallery.

Founder, Fiona Weston says: “We eat with our eyes first, so food artistry is an integral part of the dining experience. We are stylists as much as we are caterers and are just as passionate about the aesthetics of your graze as we are the taste. Supporting other local businesses is integral to the ethos of The Cotswold Platter Co. and we pride ourselves in cheerleading as many local suppliers and producers as possible, to ensure we provide you with the most delicious, visually stunning, exquisite displays! Our sustainability is also hugely important to us, which is why we use UK made biodegradable and compostable packaging wherever possible. The Cotswold Platter Co takes great pleasure in uniting two of life’s most simple of pleasures – great food and beautiful art!”
