Cornwall’s hottest burger restaurant opens in the capital

The wildly popular burger restaurant, HERD, is now open in Truro – bringing their mouth-watering menu to Cornwall’s capital.

The hotly anticipated new opening, blends tasty food with sleek interiors, an enviable playlist and excellent service. Located on Princes Street, the new restaurant is the third HERD to open in just 2 years- following the huge success of the original in Newquay and the south coast summer beach pop-up at Shoreside in Carlyon Bay.

Known for next-level burgers that are big on flavour, HERD cooks from scratch using top quality ingredients. We’re talking exclusive custom bread buns by Baker Tom, bespoke native beef patties, and a host of Herd’s homemade sauces, dips (be sure to try the somewhat lifechanging gravy made from their braised beef brisket cooking juices).

Like the north coast counterpart, the menu packs a punch offering a collection of HERD favourites, including the famous ‘Classic cheese’, the ‘Double Beef’, and outrageous house recipe fried Chicken – alongside vegan, vegetarian, gluten free, and children’s ‘Little Beef’ options.

HERD is also known for their fries served with a top-secret seasoning, which can also come loaded with slow cooked 12-hour brisket or cheese, gherkins, and onion.

The team run monthly specials, where the chefs are encouraged to flex their culinary know-how to experiment with the latest food trends – think sticky toffee pudding milkshake, rib fries, and peppercorn sauce burgers.

The HERD menu is the same across the Newquay and Truro restaurants and is available 7 days a week from 11:30 am – late to eat in or take-away. Online deliver, via Uber Eats, is set to launch in Truro in the coming weeks.

A Monday-Friday meal deal is available from noon until 4pm, offering a £5 saving on a burger, fries, and a drink. And HERD also offers student, NHS/blue light/armed forces discount and is a member of Cornwall’s Pard Card scheme.
