SeaSpace: Cornwall’s first coastal aparthotel now open

SeaSpace, Cornwall’s inaugural coastal aparthotel, has officially opened its doors, offering a unique blend of self-catering flexibility and hotel-style amenities. Located on the edge of Newquay, overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, SeaSpace provides guests with design-led studios and apartments, each featuring fully equipped kitchens and spacious living areas. Many units boast private terraces with panoramic sea views, allowing guests to enjoy the stunning Cornish coastline from the comfort of their accommodations.

The We are Ease delivery team

The construction of SeaSpace was expertly managed by We are Ease, a renowned construction management company known for delivering exceptional quality and innovative projects. From concept to completion, We are Ease ensured that every detail of the build adhered to the highest standards, resulting in a property that seamlessly blends modern elegance with sustainable design principles.

“We are thrilled to see SeaSpace come to life,” said Dafydd Hollyman, Managing Director at We are Ease. “Our team worked closely with architects, designers, and local contractors to create a space that not only meets but exceeds expectations for luxury coastal living. We had already worked successfully on the sister hotels Watergate Bay and Another Place The Lakes, so we were very excited to be project managing this ambitious transformation of the large Sands Resort into a modern, innovative aparthotel. Our method of working allowed us to complete the project in an exceptionally fast timeframe and the client was fully involved throughout. We brought together and managed a team of specialist consultants and used the power of our supply chain to resolve the issues that often arise in a complicated refurbishment project. This is the type of build project that Ease excels at, and the trust that is put in us to deliver on time and within budget is humbling but rewarding.”

Will Ashworth, Executive Director/Founder commented “SeaSpace was a very large project by Cornish standards. The complexity of totally renovating an existing building required significant expertise, diplomacy and perseverance by We Are Ease. Using a main contractor on the project would have proved challenging and therefore the Construction Management was the right choice. The outcome speaks for itself!”

SeaSpace offers a range of amenities, including a 19-meter Art Deco-inspired swimming pool, a fully equipped gym, and a five-court padel tennis club. Guests can also enjoy on-site dining options, such as a café serving freshly baked pastries and barista coffee, and a restaurant offering Italian-American inspired small plates and craft cocktails. Guests have the choice of studios, or 2-bed and 3-bed apartments making it ideal for families and groups. Find out more at sea.space.
