CLEAN leads the way in sustainable Chefs uniforms

CLEAN Linen & Workwear, one of the UK’s most trusted laundry companies, has unveiled its new Eco Chefswear Range. This revolutionary collection reflects CLEAN’s commitment to sustainability and environmental stewardship. Developed through years of research and collaboration, this new range of functional clothing for kitchen professional embodies the belief that ‘Uniforms Shouldn’t Cost The Earth’.

The Eco Chefswear Range features two exquisitely designed chef jackets, comfortable chef trousers, and a highly functional apron. Each piece is crafted from sustainable fabrics, providing a chef’s uniform rental solution that meets the practical needs of culinary professionals while championing environmental responsibility.

In their pursuit of sustainable solutions, CLEAN’s supplier explored various fabrics to address environmental challenges without compromising quality. The result is a blend of 65% recycled polyester and 35% Better Cotton Initiative (BCI) cotton. This combination uses recycled polyester from PET bottles, reducing plastic waste and environmental impact. BCI cotton enhances sustainability by supporting responsible agricultural practices and cotton farming communities.

Each chef’s jacket in this blend prevents over 11 plastic bottles from ending up in landfills or oceans. Producing recycled polyester uses up to 53% less energy than virgin polyester, reducing carbon emissions and reliance on non-renewable resources. By using recycled polyester, CLEAN diverts plastic waste and supports a circular economy. The Better Cotton Initiative promotes sustainable farming with reduced pesticide use and improved water management, benefiting farmers and the environment. This fabric blend ensures exceptional durability, comfort, and performance, meeting the highest quality and sustainability standards.

Incorporating sustainability into the kitchen has never been easier — or more stylish. This eco-friendly chef’s uniform range, available through CLEAN’s workwear rental service, reduces carbon footprints while offering exceptional comfort and durability in the kitchen. Choose CLEAN and take the next step toward a greener future for your business.
