Flapjackery opens its first Cotswold home

Flapjackery, the Devon-based artisan bakery famous for its handmade flapjacks, is bringing its award-winning treats to the Cotswolds with the opening of its 14th store in Stow-on-the-Wold. The new shop will open its doors on Friday April 11 at 11am in the town’s historic Market Square.

Located in the shadow of St Edward’s Hall, the charming shop continues Flapjackery’s tradition of warm, rustic design with Cotswold stone and signature yellow woodwork. The shop will offer its full range of hand made flapjacks, including customer favourites like Apple & Blackcurrant, alongside its indulgent selection of confectionery. Highlights include its award-winning fudge, crafted with pure butter and finished with premium chocolate for a luxuriously smooth taste.

Stow-on-the-Wold marks Flapjackery’s first Cotswolds location, chosen for the town’s rich history as a medieval trading hub and its thriving food scene. The Market Square has been a centre of commerce since the reign of Henry 1, making it the perfect home for a business built on traditional baking methods and quality ingredients.

“Stow-on-the-Wold is exactly the kind of community we love to be part of. It’s buzzing with loads of really lovely shops and we are very grateful to be one of them!” said Flapjackery co-founder Carol Myott. “From visitors drawn to its quintessential English charm, to hikers exploring the Macmillan Way and Cotswold Way, luxury and antique shoppers, and the locals who appreciate good food, we know our gluten free flapjacks will find plenty of fans here.”

The store will open daily from 10am to 4pm. Customers visiting during the opening weekend can enjoy samples of flapjack, fudge and chocolate and the chance to suggest ideas for a potential Cotswold-inspired flavour. Find us at Flapjackery Shop, Howman House, The Square, Stow-On-The-Wold, GL54 1AF.

Flapjackery was founded in Tavistock on the edge of Dartmoor and has expanded across the South West while maintaining its commitment to handmade, gluten-free baking. All products are made in Devon using natural ingredients. Visit www.flapjackery.co.uk to find out more.
