Cornish food festival serves up a feast for 2025

The highly anticipated Porthleven Food Festival returns from May 2nd-4th, offering a whole menu of culinary delights – from top name chefs to supper clubs, masterclasses, family entertainment, live music, wellness and more.

Presented by acclaimed chef Jude Kereama, the free-to-attend foodie event, a must in the culinary calendar, celebrates Cornwall’s leading food and drink producers and culinary talent from across the UK; while also raising awareness of key issues relating to the environment, food culture and sustainable food production.

Thousands flock to Porthleven to tuck into celebrations, with the heart of the daytime activity held around the harbourside. The festival offers an exceptional foodie experience, for residents and visitors alike, helping to stimulate the local economy and better support the town’s community.

The 2025 Chef’s Theatre line-up has just been revealed:

Antony Worral Thompson, Tom Brown – Pearly Queen, Izzy Joscelene & Rick Toogood – Prawn on the Lawn, Ben Palmer – The Sardine Factory, Chris Eden – Watergate Bay Hotel, Andi Tuck & Tobie Heseltine – Adam Handling Group, Paul Welburn, Fred Goodrich – Little Ears & The Square, Eddy Rains Halfway House, Josh Eggleton – The Piny, Nicholas Balfe – HOLM, Kate Attlee – Sabzi, Dorian Janmaat – Ardor, Mick Smith – Porthminster Beach Café, Rose Cant – Mum on Muddy Lane, Ross Sloan – KOTA, Ryan Venning – KOTA KAI, Ann Muller – Ann’s Pasties, Jeff Robinson – St Ives Cookery School, & Stephane Delourme.

Top tips of what not to miss for 2025:

  • LIVE MUSIC: Boogie on down to live music all weekend in the Shipyard Diner’s Club and Shanties on The Lime Kiln Stage (both free to attend) and enjoy the awesome line-up in the Evening Sessions (ticketed):
    • Friday (May 2nd) is Britpop night – featuring Kernoasis & Blur tribute Parklife
    • Saturday (May 3rd) is a full show from The Old Time Sailors plus support
  • FEASTING: Tuck into the Fisherman’s Mission fish BBQ and explore the street food traders, before stocking-up on the best local produce in the Food & Farmers market.
  • SUPPER CLUBS: Join the exceptionally delicious Naughty Nonnas for their very first food festival supper club! With an esteemed reputation this is one not to miss – Friday’s menu is a Love Letter to Italy, while Saturday’s is a Middle Eastern Adventure. Tickets needed.
  • COMEDY ROAST: Promising a belly full of laughs the return of the Comedy Roast is a proper Sunday session – comedy with Suzy Bennett aka Red Ruth, with special guest Kernow King, plus a delicious two-course roast dinner. Tickets needed.
  • GET CRIMPING! Join a pasty workshop with the legendary Ann’s Pasties in their shop in town.
  • MASTERCLASSES: Hone your craft or head home with a new skill, having learnt from the experts. Daily sessions from wine tasting to coffee cupping or how to master the perfect Spritz and make your own masala mix. Booking essential.
  • GET THE VIP EXPERIENCE with the Gourmet Weekend ticket – which includes tickets to both the Friday and Saturday night Evening Sessions, premium parking in the town and VIP access to the Chef’s Theatre all weekend.
