Raise a glass for Bowgie Inn’s Ale & Cider Festival 2025!

Bowgie Inn’s beloved Ale & Cider Festival is back for the August Bank Holiday weekend – and this year, it’s bigger, bolder and more spectacular than ever.

From Friday 22nd to Monday 25th August, join Bowgie Inn at their cliff top pub in Crantock for four days of live music, proper Cornish entertainment and a seriously impressive line-up of local ales, ciders and spirits – all while raising money for Cornwall Hospice Care.

Last summer, the amazing Bowgie community helped raise over £6,509.11 for the charity. Every drop, sip and singalong helped make that possible – and in 2025, they are hoping to raise even more. Entry is completely free, and welcome packs will be available to purchase on the door, with all proceeds – plus all bar takings – donated directly to the cause.

This year’s festival drinks list is a love letter to the South West’s most celebrated breweries, cider makers and distillers. From refreshing pints to perfectly poured G&Ts, there’ll be something for every taste, including:

St Austell Brewery – Cornish brewing royalty with favourites like Tribute and Proper Job
Sharps Brewery – Makers of the legendary Doom Bar
Atlantic Brewery – Organic, eco-conscious beers from Newquay
Firebrand Brewing – Bold, hoppy beers brewed on the edge of Bodmin Moor
St Ives Brewery – Coastal-inspired craft beers from one of Cornwall’s most creative towns
Skinners Brewery – A much-missed name, with limited special stock still flowing
Goodh Brewing Co – New-wave, flavour-packed brews from rural Cornwall
Healeys – Home of Rattler and other much-loved Cornish ciders
Jolly’s Drinks – Delicious heritage drink recipes with real ingredients and no hidden nasties!

And on Friday 22nd, don’t miss a special Tasting Afternoon with Southwestern Distillery, the makers of Tarquin’s Gin, Twin Fin Rum, Connie Glaze Vodka and Tinner Bros Whisky! It’s a rare chance to sample the very best of Cornwall’s spirits and meet the team behind them.

Of course, it wouldn’t be Bowgie Inn’s Ale & Cider Festival without a packed programme of live entertainment. Whether you’re dancing under the stars or soaking up the afternoon sun on the terrace, there’ll be music, laughter and community spirit all bank-holiday-weekend long.

Friday 22 August

Daytime: Silent Disco
Afternoon: Tarquin’s Gin and Jolly’s Tasting Sessions
7pm: Newquay Rowing Club Singers

Saturday 23 August

1-3pm: Acapella Sound and Lauren Bailey
Afternoon: Cider Tasting
3-5pm: Anton and Penny
7pm: Avalon and DJ Robo

Sunday 24 August

2pm: Black Velvet
7pm: The Claze
9pm: Fireworks finale over the bay

Monday 25 August

1pm: Indian Queens Brass Band
5pm: Rhys “The Nightchurch Pianist”
8.30pm: Ale Festival Pub Quiz

There’ll also be Garden Games, Apple Bobbing, and a chance to try your hand at Smite – Cornwall’s answer to boules! Whether you’re visiting for the craft drinks, the music, the views or the chance to support Cornwall Hospice Care, Bowgie Inn’s Ale & Cider Festival is a summer tradition not to be missed!

Go for the beer, stay for the cheer – and help Bowgie Inn raise the bar for Cornwall Hospice Care!
