Bath born and bred, The Cub Taproom comes to Shires Yard

On Friday 24 October, Bath’s freshest Taproom will be opened by Electric Bear Brewing Co. in Shires Yard. Bringing good times and great beer to Bath’s newest dining and lifestyle destination, The Cub will be serving the independent craft brewery’s range of IPAs, sours and stouts, including its award-winning core range Werrrd!, Mixtape, Tondo and Unruly AF, which are all brewed on the edge of Bath.

To celebrate the launch of Electric Bear Brewing Co.’s first Taproom away from its brewery on Brassmill Lane in Bath, the first 100 visitors on Friday 24 October from 5pm, will be offered a free pint of Electric Bear beer, and a 10% discount will apply at the bar for the duration of launch night.

Harnessing the same community ethos that the Electric Bear Taproom has fostered on Brassmill Lane for the past 10 years, The Cub will be a safe and welcoming space for friends, families, students and tourists to gather and enjoy local craft beer, fresh from the source, while supporting a Bath-based independent business.

Libby Baggett, Operations and Marketing Manager at Electric Bear Brewing Co. says: “This is a seriously exciting step for our independent brewery as we venture into the city centre. Over the past decade, the Electric Bear Taproom has established itself as an inclusive community hub for everyone to be free, have fun and enjoy locally produced craft beer. Now we are growing our family with the birth of The Cub and hope to reach more people with our ‘glad to be alive vibe’ in the centre of Bath.”

The Cub is situated at 14-15 Milsom Place, Bath BA1 1BZ, and will be open seven days a week. Opening hours will be Sunday to Wednesday, 12pm – 10pm, and Thursday to Saturday, 12pm – 12am.
