Tourism and hospitality businesses across East Devon are being encouraged to secure one of the final remaining places at the upcoming East Devon Tourism Network (EDTN) event, “Speaking Up for East Devon Tourism: A Voice for Collaboration and Change.” Taking place on Tuesday 24 March 2026 at Darts Farm in Topsham, the event promises valuable insights, practical tools, and a platform for meaningful industry collaboration.
With businesses facing increasing pressures; from rising operational costs and supply chain challenges to evolving regulations, this event is designed to support local operators in strengthening one of their most powerful assets: their voice. Attendees will gain confidence in communicating their value, whether through marketing, community engagement, or influencing local decision-making.
The morning will begin with an informal networking session over coffee, followed by a series of talks from respected industry voices. George Dart of Darts Farm will offer an inside look at the role of quality food and drink in business success, alongside an honest perspective on the economic pressures affecting the sector.
Joining him is Emily McGuirk, an award-winning public speaking coach and founder of Small Steps Big Vision, who will deliver practical, hands-on guidance to help attendees communicate with clarity, confidence, and impact. Eleanor Carr, owner of Unique Boutique Events and Project Manager for TASTE East Devon, will also share insights into regional initiatives and highlight opportunities for local businesses to get involved.
In addition, EDTN will unveil a new initiative aimed at giving members a greater role in shaping the future of the network’s events — offering businesses a stronger voice in how the community evolves.
