In the two years since its launch, Liskeard-based No More Lids has made a significant mark on the hospitality industry. By bringing The Good Cup to a wide and varied customer base, the company has delivered over 6 million cups and removed over 30 tonnes of single-use plastic to date.
The company has just announced the next phase in its mission: a collaboration with industry giant Zeus Food. “The collaboration with Zeus Food and their Agora Packaging brand represents a huge step for us, moving from our roots as a Cornish start-up to playing on a truly national stage,” said Chris Brown, Managing Director of No More Lids. “We are opening new routes to market and can now offer our existing resellers an even higher level of availability and support.”
Zeus Food maintains a customer-first approach driven by innovation and sustainability. “Working with No More Lids to deliver an innovation like The Good Cup is perfectly aligned with our focus on a more sustainable future. We are genuinely excited to work with Chris and the team to help drive this positive change,” said Andrew Dorney, Director of Food Packaging at Zeus.
“It is a difficult task to step beyond being seen as a South West operator,” Brown added. “It’s even harder to deliver a new product that brings positive change to an everyday item most take for granted.” Having won the Future of Food award back in November No More Lids are not only flying the flag for Cornwall but also working to protect it. “Having Zeus as our distribution partner allows us to work even harder to protect our coastlines from the relentless tide of single-use plastic waste, and we suffer badly from this here in the South West.”
For those who have not yet seen The Good Cup, it innovates with an integrated fold/lock lid, eliminating the need for plastic lids. It also removes the plastic lining and forever chemicals from hot and cold drink cups. Find out more through the website and follow them on Instagram and Facebook.
