Plonk’d launches brunch

Plonk’d, the Spanish inspired restaurant and bar in Wadebridge, has launched a vibrant new brunch menu, bringing the relaxed spirit of Northern Spain to weekend mornings in North Cornwall.

Founded in 2023 by hospitality duo Jonny and Jess, Plonk’d was created from a shared love of great wine, simple food and the convivial atmosphere of Spanish pintxos bars. Since opening, the neighbourhood spot has built a loyal following for its ingredient led plates and low intervention wines, alongside a warm and welcoming setting just moments from the North Cornish coast.

Now, Plonk’d adds a fresh dimension to its offering with the introduction of a Spanish inspired brunch, served on Saturdays from 10am until 2pm. Designed for leisurely, relaxed mornings, the menu showcases bold flavours and generous plates that stay true to the kitchen’s ethos.

Menu highlights include “Steak and Eggs’ – Iberico Presa with eggs on Coombeshead Farm sourdough, a rich and satisfying take on a brunch classic and Huevos Rotos featuring baked eggs with fried potatoes. For those with a sweet tooth Torrija offers a Spanish style French toast, available with smoked bacon and maple syrup or with berries, yogurt and honey. The traditional Spanish breakfast of Jamon Iberico, Manchego and pan con tomate is also on the menu, along with other dishes.

The brunch menu sits naturally alongside Plonk’d’s carefully curated drinks selection. Guests can enjoy expertly brewed coffee from Rising Ground fresh juices and – of course – the option to add a glass of something sparkling or explore the restaurant’s characterful wine list. Free flowing Cava is available for £35pp (capped at 1.5 hours and everyone on the table must order!) As ever, Jonny and Jess focus on showcasing small producers and interesting varietals, making wine approachable and enjoyable for all.

Whether gathering friends for a relaxed start to the weekend or easing into the day after a coastal walk, brunch at Plonk’d captures the easy-going charm and flavour driven cooking that has quickly made it one of Wadebridge’s most exciting dining destinations.
