Canned Wine Group launched in 2019 with one goal in mind: to deliver a better choice to customers looking to enjoy single-serve wine. For the past seven years, the company has innovated, driven standards in single-serve wine and made some of the world’s most exciting wines accessible, sustainable and convenient to all wine drinkers. In 2025, the group added draught wine to their portfolio, helping more businesses solve problems around tight margins and waste. During the UK’s leading event for the drinks industry, the company will be sharing some of its journey in an exclusive industry roundtable. Senior hospitality buyers, leading operators and the food and drink press will join host Ben Franks, CEO of Canned Wine Group, for the discussion and will explore some of the commercial pressures shaping today’s buying decisions. What are buyers prioritising? How key is sustainability in determining a brand’s value? These questions and the future of procurement will offer insightful debate.
Later that day at 16:00, Canned Wine Group will be on the London Wine Fair’s centre stage for a panel hosted by the Executive Chair of Canned Wine Group, Simon Rollings, exploring commercial and reputational rewards of pioneering change in the drinks industry. The panel is titled: ‘Does it pay to be a first mover?’ Rollings will be accompanied by leading industry guests from Caleño, Wadworth, Still Sisters and Waitrose, in an exciting discussion that promises to uncover forthcoming trends in the wine industry, such as why Waitrose was the first grocer to switch all its small formats to cans, and why hospitality buyers are currently rethinking wine.
Marieke Hammes, Canned Wine Group’s Head of Operations and Sustainability, is also a panellist on Rosie Davenport’s sustainability session: ‘The Sustainability Dividend: Building a Competitive Edge in Uncertain Times’. The panel will explore the many pros and cons of trying to do better business in today’s drinks trade. Franks, alongside the roundtable, will also appear at the Harper’s 30 Under 30 awards reveal, having judged the list for a second year in a row. In 2024, Franks was named ‘Leadership Champion’ in the awards, aged 29.
