Isaac Cider goes light with ‘Weightless’ 0.5% launch

Dorset-based Isaac Cider has launched Weightless, a new lightly sparkling 0.5% cider aimed at the growing demand for premium low and no-alcohol drinks across the on and off-trade.

At 0.5% ABV, Weightless has been designed to deliver the flavour, structure and drinkability expected from traditional cider, while offering consumers a lighter option for more mindful drinking occasions.

Lightly sparkling in style, the cider opens with fresh orchard apple aromas and a bright, clean palate balanced by a subtle touch of sweetness. The result is an approachable and easy-drinking cider suited to summer menus, pub gardens, casual dining, and food-led venues.

Owner and cider maker Rollo Wood says the launch reflects changing consumer habits while staying true to Isaac Cider’s orchard-led philosophy. “We wanted to create a lighter cider that still felt authentic and properly crafted,” says Wood. “Consumers are increasingly looking for moderation options, but they still want quality, flavour and provenance. Weightless gives them that.”

Isaac Cider was founded after family ancestry research revealed a connection to Sir Isaac Newton, inspiring the family to stop selling all their apples to larger producers and instead create their own cider on the farm. Today, all Isaac Cider products are made using fruit grown in the family’s Dorset orchards, planted by Wood’s grandfather in 1972. Central to the range is the Dabinett apple, a classic bittersweet West Country variety that provides the backbone of the brand’s ciders.

As consumer demand for premium low and no-alcohol drinks continues to grow, Weightless offers retailers and hospitality venues an authentic low alcohol cider with genuine provenance and orchard-to-bottle production.

Weightless is available now through Inn Express and direct via the Isaac Cider website.
