Harry’s Cider crowned British Perry Champion 2026

Harry’s Cider is celebrating a landmark achievement after being crowned British Perry Champion 2026 at the Royal Bath & West British Cider Championships. The award-winning Fine Perry took the top honour in the perry category, adding a national title to its growing list of accolades and meaning the Somerset producer now holds both the Somerset Perry Champion and British Perry Champion titles.

Harry’s Cider Taproom

Crafted using carefully selected, handpicked perry pears from local orchards, the bottle fermented Perry is the result of a meticulous process that takes almost three years from orchard to glass. The pears are handpicked, pressed and fermented before being matured for six months. The Perry is then bottled with champagne yeast and left to mature for a further 18 months in bottle. After disgorgement, it is allowed to rest for another two months before being released to market. The result is an elegant, naturally sparkling Perry with lively bubbles, delicate fruit character and an inviting aroma.

Toby Fry, cidermaker at Harry’s Cider, says: “We’re absolutely delighted to be named British Perry Champions. This Perry is a labour of love and represents nearly three years of work from start to finish. Every stage is carefully managed, from selecting the fruit through to bottle fermentation and disgorgement, so it’s incredibly rewarding to see that effort recognised at a national level.

“Winning both the Somerset and British Perry Champion titles is a huge achievement for our family business and our team. We couldn’t be more proud.”

Visitors can sample the champion Perrys at the Harry’s Cider Taproom in Long Sutton, where they are available alongside the company’s range of award-winning ciders, local drinks and seasonal events overlooking the orchards.

For those who haven’t yet discovered Perry, there has never been a better time to try Britain’s best. Follow them on Instagram.
