Devon-based Flapjackery is celebrating another successful year at the Taste of the West Awards after winning two more Gold Awards for its Raspberry and White Chocolate Flapjack and Salted Caramel Fudge Flapjack.
The latest accolades continue Flapjackery’s impressive run of success at the prestigious regional food awards, recognising the quality, craftsmanship and flavour that have become synonymous with the family-run business.
The judges were full of praise for the Raspberry and White Chocolate Flapjack, describing its aroma as “a warm, inviting combination of sweet oat, caramel and buttery notes” that created “a thoroughly appealing introduction“.
Its appearance also impressed the panel, who said the flapjack “looked exceptional“, praising its even golden bake, neat piping of white chocolate and generous sprinkling of dried raspberries, which gave it a handcrafted, premium feel.
When it came to taste, the judges highlighted the balance of flavours, saying: “The flapjack base was rich, buttery and well-balanced, with the raspberry jam delivering a welcome burst of fruit that ensured the flavour truly delivered on its name. The white chocolate added a gentle sweetness that complemented rather than overwhelmed.”
Flapjackery’s Salted Caramel Fudge Flapjack also earned a coveted Gold Award, with judges praising its “deeply inviting syrup aroma” and its hearty texture, created by the use of thicker, less processed oats.
They described the flapjack as having “great heart and real homemade character“, while its rich, fudgy flavour was said to be “comforting and thoroughly enjoyable“. The judges noted that a little more salt would further elevate the salted caramel profile, but the product still achieved Gold standard.

Flapjackery co-founder Carol Myott said: “Winning Gold is always a wonderful moment, especially when the judging is so thorough and independent. To receive such thoughtful feedback about the care that goes into every flapjack is incredibly rewarding for our whole team. We’ve always believed that using quality ingredients and taking the time to make every flapjack properly is what makes the difference. These awards are fantastic recognition of the passion and hard work that goes into every batch.”
Made by hand in Devon using naturally gluten-free oats, butter and generous toppings, Flapjackery’s award-winning flapjacks are available online and in the company’s shops across the South West.
The two latest Gold Awards further cement Flapjackery’s reputation as one of the region’s most celebrated food producers, with an ever-growing collection of Taste of the West accolades recognising its innovative flavours and consistently exceptional quality.
