Langage Farm’s premium ice cream makes exciting Kansai debut in Japan

Langage Farm, the award-winning, family-run dairy producer nestled in the heart of the Devonshire countryside, is thrilled to announce an exciting milestone in its international journey. Partnering with Merry Days Co., Ltd., Langage Farm’s premium soft serve ice cream made its highly anticipated Kansai debut this month, at the picturesque English Garden Rosa & Berry Tawada in Shiga Prefecture, Japan.

English Garden Rosa & Berry Tawada

Operating from a working farm with over 900 years of agricultural history, Langage Farm has spent decades perfecting the art of luxury dairy production. Known globally for its rich heritage, the farm is home to approximately 250 prized Jersey and Guernsey cows whose lush, golden milk forms the foundation of all Langage Farm creations.

As proud pioneers in sustainability, Langage Farm made history by becoming one of the United Kingdom’s first carbon-neutral dairy farms through the introduction of an anaerobic digestion plant. This commitment to eco-friendly practices, alongside a string of prestigious accolades from events like the International Cheese & Dairy Awards, underscores the brand’s dedication to quality and the environment.

A Taste of Devon in Shiga Prefecture
The newly launched Langage Farm Soft Serve brings an authentic taste of the British countryside to Japanese food lovers. Produced using dairy ingredients imported directly from the historic Devon farm, the soft serve blends the rich milk of Jersey cows with the naturally sweet milk of Guernsey cows. The result is a naturally golden treat offering a uniquely balanced flavour, a luxuriously creamy texture, and a remarkably clean finish.

Available exclusively at the Rosa & Berry Tawada Sweets Stand, guests can enjoy the golden soft serve in a cone or a cup.

“We are immensely proud that our Langage Farm products are so popular in Japan, and sincerely thank Takahiro Hori and the team at Merry Days for choosing our clotted cream for Rosa & Berry Tawada” said Steve Davies Langage Farm National Accounts & Marketing Manager. “From our family farm set deep within the rolling countryside of Devon to charming tea rooms, bustling local spots, and vibrant department store events across Japan, we are immensely proud to share our award-winning heritage, sustainable farming practices, and unyielding passion for quality with the world. Every batch we craft is a true celebration of our cherished Channel Island cows, our local community, and centuries of rich British dairy tradition.”

Expanding the Devon Experience
Building on the long-standing popularity of Langage Farm’s famous Devonshire Clotted Cream, which has traditionally been served as part of the garden’s afternoon tea offerings, Rosa & Berry Tawada has expanded its Langage Farm product range. Joining the menu is the brand-new Cream Tea Sundae – an original dessert featuring Langage Farm Soft Serve paired with a choice of berry or tropical jam sauce. Additionally, visitors can purchase chilled take-home tubs of authentic Devonshire Clotted Cream.
