Bristol-born Percy Labs partners with Hale Events to help hospitality operators improve profitability

Hospitality businesses across the South West are being invited to identify opportunities to reduce costs and improve profitability through a new partnership between Percy Labs and Hale Events, publishers of the popular Rise & Shine newsletter.

Founded in Bristol by Griff and Ed, whose experience spans both hospitality and technology, Percy Labs has developed a free online calculator that helps hospitality operators understand how their purchasing costs and cost of sale compare with similar businesses. By benchmarking these figures against a carefully curated market panel, the calculator quickly highlights areas where operators may be able to make savings and strengthen margins.

For operators who choose to explore further, Percy offers a more in-depth review of their pricing and purchasing strategy. Businesses that work with Percy typically achieve an average 6% reduction in cost of sale, delivering meaningful improvements to margins in an increasingly challenging trading environment.

Commenting on the partnership, Hale Events said: “At Hale Events, and through our Rise & Shine newsletter, we’re always looking for practical tools that help hospitality businesses trade more effectively and improve profitability. Cost pressures continue to be one of the biggest challenges facing the industry, so we’re delighted to introduce Percy.ai to our readers as a free tool that helps operators identify opportunities to reduce their cost of sale and improve margins. Our aim is to share innovations, insights and resources that genuinely support businesses in becoming stronger, more resilient and more profitable, and we believe Percy is a valuable addition to that mission.”

Griff, Co-founder of Percy Labs, said: “We built the calculator as an easy, no-obligation way for operators to see how their pricing compares with the wider market. It’s a great starting point that can highlight opportunities, but it’s just the beginning. When businesses work with Percy, we take a much deeper look at their pricing and purchasing strategy, and our customers typically achieve around a 6% reduction in cost of sale. In today’s market, every percentage point counts, and we’re proud to be making these insights accessible to hospitality businesses across the South West through our partnership with Hale Events.”

The Percy Calculator is completely free to use, with no obligation to continue. Operators who would like to understand their results in more detail can arrange a walkthrough with the Percy team to see how the platform works and discuss how Percy could help improve their business’s profitability.
